Some state...In reference to yield spreads on loans. Some states such as North Carolina legislated the maximum that a mortgage broker can earn is 1%. They eliminated the brokers from participating in the yield spread all together. The Brokers would float the loan and then lock when it was lower then what they quoted the borrower.
